POWDER LAB
in this lab we had to run different test on each powder. we had to add water, acetic acid, sodium carbonate and lugols solution. it was really cool to see how each powder reacted to each chemical. we also had to add some of the powder to a hot plate and see how it reacted. this will prepare us for the mission because we might have to run test on samples.
Communication Lab
I thought the all of the communication's were easy for me, except for the verbal one..... that was really hard because when you told the other person to draw a certain shape or thing, it would communicate differently to them. but everything else was pretty good except for the one where you couldn't talk at all, but you could see each other.

Trajectory Lab
How can the angle of impact of a bullet in a wall be used to determine other critical information about the scene of a crime?
you can figure out where the gun was when it was shot by measuring the bullet with a dowel and figuring out the degrees.
How might this lab be helpful in preparing you for the mission?
well if there is some sort of impact on the space shuttle we might be able to measure and go through the same process as we did with this lab.
Fiber powders
LAB: fiber powders
Can you use fiber evidence to identify it's source?
yes because different materials/ fibers react differently , so when you test them you can see which ones match up.
how might this lab be helpful in preparing you for the mission?
it will help us by knowing how to test different things and matching evidence

Urine Lab
Guding Question: how can we use a urine sample found at the crime scene of a crime to provide clues to a criminal trial?
ANSWER: you can test the urine to see for glucose and albumen. but also if you cant test urine you might be able to test other body fluids.
How might this lab be helpful in preparing you for the mission?
ANSWER: there might be liquids at a crime scene and we might have to test for these things

Blood Spatter Lab
Guiding Question: How can blood splatters be used as evidence in crime?
Prediction: could lead to where the body is, like a trail of blood.
New answer: Patterns that may be able to tell you how high the person is, depending on the measurement of the blood splatter. so if the blood splatter were to be 3cm you might be able to tell how tall the person is. So just by knowing the measurement of the splatter, u might be able to know the height of the person, but not always, basically its a guess
